Pinterest integration

AdKo Publisher is an internal tool operated by ADKO SEO, an independent local-search marketing agency based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It schedules and publishes content to Pinterest accounts that belong to the agency's clients, on their instruction. This page describes exactly what the Pinterest integration does, which permissions it requests, what it stores and how an account owner disconnects it.

1. What the integration does

• Connects a client's own Pinterest business account through Pinterest's official OAuth 2.0 flow.
• Lists that account's boards, so the client can choose where a Pin should go.
• Creates a Pin that the client has reviewed and approved individually, on the board the client selected, linking to the client's own website.

That is the entire scope. The tool does not follow or unfollow accounts, does not send messages, does not comment, does not modify profiles and performs no bulk or rule-driven actions.

2. Permissions we request, and why

• user_accounts:read: confirm which account is connected and show its name in the panel, so a client cannot publish to the wrong account by mistake.
• boards:read: list the client's boards so the client can pick the destination.
• boards:write: create a destination board, only when the client asks for one.
• pins:write: create the Pin the client approved.
• pins:read: read that Pin back, to confirm the publication actually succeeded.

We request no other scopes. We do not request advertising or catalog permissions, because the tool neither buys ads nor manages product feeds.

3. How an account is connected

Sign-in happens on Pinterest's own site. The client is sent to Pinterest, authorizes the app there and is returned to the panel. We never ask for, receive or store Pinterest passwords, and we never use Pinterest session cookies or any other credential-based method. The only credentials we hold are the OAuth access token and refresh token that Pinterest issues, and only for the account whose owner granted them.

4. Every Pin is chosen by a person

Publication requires two explicit approvals of that one specific item: first the client, who owns the account and approves the image, the description, the destination board and the time; then the agency administrator, who approves the schedule. Nothing is published without both. There is no "publish everything" mode, no automatic reposting and no rule that generates Pins on its own. If either the content or the timing changes after approval, both approvals are cleared and the item has to be approved again.

5. What we store, and what we do not

We store:

• the OAuth tokens for the connected account, held server-side and used only for that account;
• content prepared for that client before publication: image, description, destination board and scheduled time;
• a publication receipt: the Pinterest Pin identifier, the time of publication and which item it corresponds to. It exists so that the same item can never be published twice;
• an audit record of who approved, edited or published a given item.

We do not store Pinterest passwords or cookies. Beyond the receipt above we keep no copy of Pinterest data: board lists and account details are requested from the Pinterest API at the moment they are needed and shown to the client, not cached for later use. We do not access or store data from any account other than the one connected by its owner, we never combine data from different accounts, and we never sell or share it with third parties.

6. Disconnecting, and what happens then

The owner of a Pinterest account can revoke our access at any time, directly on Pinterest, under Settings, then Security and permissions, then Apps. The client can also ask us to disconnect by writing to the address below. After revocation we stop calling the Pinterest API for that account and delete the stored tokens.

7. How long we keep data

Tokens are kept only while the account is connected and are deleted when it is disconnected. Prepared content, publication receipts and audit records are kept for the duration of the marketing services agreement with that client, and are deleted at the client's request.

1. Co robi integracja

• Łączy własne, firmowe konto Pinteresta klienta przez oficjalny mechanizm OAuth 2.0 Pinteresta.

To cały zakres. Narzędzie nie obserwuje ani nie przestaje obserwować kont, nie wysyła wiadomości, nie komentuje, nie zmienia profili i nie wykonuje działań masowych ani sterowanych regułami.

2. O jakie uprawnienia prosimy i po co

• user_accounts:read: potwierdzenie, które konto jest podłączone, i pokazanie jego nazwy w panelu, żeby klient nie opublikował omyłkowo na niewłaściwym koncie.
• boards:read: lista tablic klienta, żeby mógł wybrać miejsce docelowe.
• boards:write: utworzenie tablicy docelowej, wyłącznie gdy klient o to poprosi.
• pins:write: utworzenie pina zatwierdzonego przez klienta.
• pins:read: odczytanie tego pina z powrotem, żeby potwierdzić, że publikacja się udała.

Nie prosimy o żadne inne zakresy. Nie prosimy o uprawnienia reklamowe ani katalogowe, bo narzędzie nie kupuje reklam i nie zarządza feedami produktowymi.

3. Jak podłącza się konto

Logowanie odbywa się na stronie Pinteresta. Klient zostaje tam przekierowany, autoryzuje aplikację i wraca do panelu. Nigdy nie prosimy o hasła do Pinteresta, nie otrzymujemy ich i nie przechowujemy, nie używamy też ciasteczek sesji ani żadnej innej metody opartej na cudzych poświadczeniach. Jedyne, co posiadamy, to token dostępu i token odświeżający wydane przez Pinteresta, wyłącznie dla konta, którego właściciel ich udzielił.

4. Każdy pin wybiera człowiek

Publikacja wymaga dwóch wyraźnych zatwierdzeń tej jednej, konkretnej pozycji: najpierw klienta, który jest właścicielem konta i zatwierdza zdjęcie, opis, tablicę docelową i termin, potem administratora agencji, który zatwierdza harmonogram. Bez obu nic nie zostanie opublikowane. Nie ma trybu "publikuj wszystko", nie ma automatycznego powtarzania publikacji ani reguły, która sama tworzyłaby piny. Zmiana treści albo terminu po zatwierdzeniu kasuje oba zatwierdzenia i pozycja musi zostać zatwierdzona ponownie.

5. Co przechowujemy, a czego nie

Przechowujemy:

• tokeny OAuth podłączonego konta, po stronie serwera, używane wyłącznie dla tego konta;
• treści przygotowane dla klienta przed publikacją: zdjęcie, opis, tablicę docelową i termin;
• pokwitowanie publikacji: identyfikator pina w Pinterest, czas publikacji i informację, której pozycji dotyczy. Istnieje po to, żeby ta sama pozycja nie mogła zostać opublikowana dwa razy;
• zapis, kto zatwierdził, zmienił lub opublikował daną pozycję.

Nie przechowujemy haseł ani ciasteczek Pinteresta. Poza powyższym pokwitowaniem nie trzymamy kopii danych z Pinteresta: listy tablic i dane konta pobieramy z API w chwili, gdy są potrzebne, i pokazujemy je klientowi, a nie zapisujemy na zapas. Nie sięgamy po dane żadnego konta poza tym podłączonym przez właściciela, nigdy nie łączymy danych z różnych kont i nigdy ich nie sprzedajemy ani nie udostępniamy podmiotom trzecim.

6. Odłączenie i co się wtedy dzieje

Właściciel konta Pinteresta może cofnąć nasz dostęp w dowolnej chwili, bezpośrednio w Pinterest: Ustawienia, dalej Bezpieczeństwo i uprawnienia, dalej Aplikacje. Może też poprosić o odłączenie, pisząc na adres poniżej. Po cofnięciu przestajemy odpytywać API Pinteresta dla tego konta i usuwamy przechowywane tokeny.

7. Jak długo trzymamy dane

Tokeny trzymamy tylko przez czas, w którym konto jest podłączone, i usuwamy przy odłączeniu. Przygotowane treści, pokwitowania publikacji i zapisy zatwierdzeń trzymamy przez czas trwania umowy o świadczenie usług marketingowych z danym klientem i usuwamy na jego żądanie.
